His sincere efforts and hard work led to the birth of apple cultivation in this region (upper Kullu and Manali), replacing the native wild vegetation of the land.
As time passed, the inclination toward apple farming in the region declined. But SaffronStays Kesar Villa decided to continue the tradition. This led to the amalgamation of two concepts – farming and tourism, and this gave birth to the beautiful homestay in the apple orchards of SaffronStays Kesar Villa.
On the tourism front, this Himalayan cottage opened doors to guests for a unique experience. They converted the cottage, set amidst dense forests, spread across two floors, to a private home stay. At this perfect family getaway, they also made room for your furry buddies. A well-equipped bedroom dedicated to pets, with pet toys and a staircase for special pet access, this home has taken all measures to ensure your pets have the best paw-cation. Not just families, this cottage with a separate entrance from the outside of the villa to the first floor guarantees complete privacy to couple guests as well.
To make your stay an unforgettable one, this beautiful home offers its guests an opportunity to tour the extensive apple orchards adjoining the villa and learn the fundamentals of apple farming and harvesting. Besides, apples and other farm fruits and vegetables are also cultivated on the land at the villa. Gorge over some delicious homemade farm products, like fruit juices, fruit jams, dried fruit flakes, local homemade pickles, and much more. An apple festival is organised at this home annually around mid-August, wherein guests can indulge in plucking activities too. The Home Owners are also considering activities like jam-making workshops and chutney-making workshops this year.
